Clash of the SPARTANS
...The Miami Spartans defeat the Ft. Myers Spartans 31-0. The Miami Spartan offence started off a little slow but the defense came out scoring the second touchdown in game. When asked about the defense quarterback Sheldon Smith said “the defense did what they do every game” and that they did the defense slaughtered the Ft. Myers forcing over 4 turnovers in the first half. The Miami Spartans lead the Ft. Myers Spartans 12-0 during the half. The offence came back after the second half with a vengeance scoring 19 points in the second half.
Miami Spartans Destroy Undefeated Predators 61-0
..The Upstart Miami Spartans faced an undefeated Space Coast Predators and came away with a resounding 61-0 win. The Spartans jumped all over the Predators with a high power offense and a smothering defense that propelled the Spartans to a 36-0 halftime lead. The second half was more of the same as the the Spartans completed the rout 61-0 in front of their home town fans. "What a way to have this type of showing in your home opener. I'm proud of the hard work our team put in during the off season and its paying off. We could not have asked for a better start to the season being a first year team in the toughest league"..said Spartan Owner Greg Cole. The Spartans who are tied with the Miami Bulls at the top of the AFC East Division have a lot to be excited about. The Spartans will now turn their attention to next weeks home game against the Fort Myers Spartans in the Battle of Sparta!!! The Spartans will have two more home games before they have to hit the road. Once again the Spartans defeat the Space Coast Predators 61-0.
